Egyptian Art

Egyptian culture represents the first big step in creating complex images to explain culture. They developed a standard from of writing, they had technology to create intricate and detailed artwork, and they had lots of cool animal gods.

The human figure is the focus of this unit. Proportions, and placement are the key to making a person look like a person. However, changes in clothing, heads, and accessories are what make each student work unique. The medium is plaster, so be prepared for a mess.
